What is an e-invoice?
An invoice as a file that software can read directly: XML (XRechnung) or a PDF with embedded XML (ZUGFeRD). An ordinary PDF does not count.
Who has to receive them?
All businesses must be able to receive them since 2025. Issuing becomes mandatory from 2027 / 2028.

Is my invoice uploaded?
No. The file is only read in your browser.
Which formats are supported?
XRechnung (XML, UBL and CII) and ZUGFeRD / Factur-X version 2+ as PDF. Not ZUGFeRD 1.x.
Does the check replace an official validation?
No, only a plausibility check. For a binding check use the KoSIT validator.
